Wakayama International Exchange Center
和歌山県国際交流センターは、あらゆる国の人々が集う、ふれあいの場です。 このセンターを国際交流や国際協力の活動の拠点として、草の根レベルの国際交流の推進と国際理解の促進を図り、外国の方が訪れやすく住みやすい、世界に開かれた地域づくりを促進します。
Wakayama International Exchange Center is a place where people regardless of nationality interact on an informal level. The primary missions of the center are to promote grass-roots international exchange and understanding and to help foreign residents visit and live in the local community.
390 videos on international exchange, newspaper and magazines in Japanese, English, Chinese, Spanish and Portuguese are available.There are 6,289 books on overseas information, languages, studying abroad,international cooperation and etc.

■WIXAS provides opportunities for prefecture citizens and foreign residents to get to know each other and holds lectures and seminars regarding international exchange.
■WIXAS works as a liaison and coordinator to enable local international exchange organizations to communicate with each other.

■WIXAS collects information from various publications, contacts international exchange organizations all over the country and distributes the information to international exchange organizations and citizens in Wakayama Prefecture.
■WIXAS offers consultation and living information to foreign residents and students living in Wakayama Prefecture.
世界の国からこんにちわ
■県内に在住、勤務、通学する外国人の方が、地域社会にとけ込んで生活を送れるよう日本語クラスや日本文化理解講座を開催しています。
■WIXAS holds Japanese language and culture classes to help foreign residents currently living and / or working in Wakayama Prefecture live comfortably in the local community.

■和歌山県国際交流協会は、県の国際化に寄与し、県民の国際交流や国際理解の推進のため、平成２年に県、市町村、そして民間が一体となり設立されました。 ■Wakayama International Exchange Association (WIXAS) was established on November 15, 1990 with the support of Wakayama Prefecture, local authorities, private enterprises and others. ■WIXAS objectives are to contribute to internationalization of Wakayama Prefecture through international exchange projects and to promote international goodwill, friendship and understanding among citizens. ■WIXAS collects and distributes information regarding international exchange, educates citizens to deepen their international understanding, and holds various programs to promote international exchange.]
